Pokémon Players Cup 3

The Pokémon Players Cup 2 just finished, and The Pokémon Company has already revealed that there will be a Pokémon Players Cup 3. The next big contest will begin in January 2021 and include more exciting competitive Pokémon action.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming competition so far and what you need to do if you want to qualify.

The Pokémon Players Cup 3

The next Players Cup will involve competition from three different games: Pokémon Sword and Shield, The Pokémon Trading Card Game, and Pokkén Tournament DX. Top players from each region can qualify to compete in their respective games. Here’s how:

Pokémon Sword and Shield VGC

VGC players can qualify by participating in the next Online Competition which takes place from January 15 to January 17, 2021. The top 256 players each in North America, Europe, and Latin America and the top 128 in Oceania will qualify. Regional Qualifiers take place on March 20 and 27 with Global Finals on April 10 and 11.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game

Pokémon Trading Card Game players can qualify through in-game tournaments in The Pokémon Trading Card Game Online from January 26 through February 26. The Regional Qualifiers and Global Finals will take place on the same dates as the VGC competition.

Pokkén Tournament DX

Pokkén Tournament DX players will be able to register with 128 players from North America, 128 from Europe, and 64 in Oceania. There is no word on how registration works here, but the dates should be consistent with the other tournaments.

If you’re into competitive Pokémon or you want to get into it, this is a great opportunity. The tournament is virtual, so you can compete remotely while enjoying your favorite games. Be sure to get on the grind if you think you have what it takes to make it in!
