Following the coronavirus outbreak in China, Riot Games has suspended Week 2 of the LPL. Now, the League of Legends casters for the postponed event plan to leave the country. The casters shared their upcoming plans to ensure they are safe, healthy, and far away from the outbreak.
The casters’ next move
Joe “Munchables” Fenny shared a video on Twitter to explain the group’s plans. They all intend to return to their home countries while they wait for schedule announcements. Luckily, they are all healthy, and there’s little possibility that they’ve caught the virus. “No one that we know is currently showing any symptoms, so I think – hopefully – we should be good,” Fenny says.

In the meantime, they plan to make up for the absence of the LPL. “We’re gonna be trying to create some kinda LPL-based content for you guys as well. […] Hopefully, everything will blow over quickly and we’ll be back in the LPL shortly.”
Additionally, Fenny made sure that all of his fans know that the team is safe. “To be clear, we’re being very safe regarding the Virus, we currently don’t have any symptoms and we’re contacting our destination airports so we can be screened and checked etc before seeing our families.” One Twitter comment mentioned that they should still get tested for the virus anyway, as it has a ten-day incubation.
Unfortunate that it had to come to this but the safety of players, fans and staff is of the utmost priority https://t.co/vkWACz3dee
