Over the past few months, streamers on Twitch have been facing a huge dilemma with DMCA laws. With a loss of content at best and deletion of the channel at worst, streamers and Twitch have been searching for a new way to keep their viewers entertained. In an effort to make claim-free music more accessible and to help streamers reach Affiliate status faster, electronic music’s leading independent label Monstercat is unveiling a new partnership with Twitch. Called Monstercat Gold, streamers now can reach Affiliate status after just 30 days thanks to a $5 subscription service.

Monstercat is looking to make Twitch Affiliates more accessible
Monstercat Gold provides a unique opportunity for streamers looking to fill the silence of their streams. With a Monstercat Gold subscription, streamers will have access to individual music licensing. This gives subscribers access to thousands of high-quality songs to use on stream. Thanks to a diverse library through Monstercat, streamers no longer have to worry about receiving strikes against their channel and can continue to monetize their streams.
More than just providing individual music licensing, Monstercat Gold includes early access to new releases, discounts in the Monstercat Shop, and access to the Monstercat Discord server, Reddit, and news. Monstercat is no stranger to gaming, previously working with games like Fortnite, Rocket League, Roblox, and more on soundtracks and collaborations. Monstercat works with artists like Marshmello, Vicetone, and Tokyo Machine
“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Twitch to provide streamers with all the perks that Monstercat Gold and Twitch’s Affiliate status have to offer,” said Monstercat’s Head of Gaming, Gavin Johnson. “This alignment further empowers content creators by opening access to premium music and monetization for their channel.
“Creating stability and support for both artists and streamers has always been a priority for Monstercat and we’re excited to introduce these new resources with Twitch.”
Previously, streamers looking to qualify for the Twitch Affiliate Program needed to stream for 500 total minutes with an average of 3 concurrent viewers, among other qualifications, in the last 30 days. By subscribing to Monstercat Gold, streamers can skip these qualifications and become Affiliate status faster.
Users with an existing Monstercat Gold subscription can immediately apply for the program, while new users need to subscribe for a full 30 days before being eligible.
